"The best small Enterprise"

The Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the Ministry of Economic Development and the National Investment Agency, have jointly held the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Competition the purpose of which was to determine the best company of 2008 in the field of small and medium business.

About 500 Georgian companies took part in the Competition. The winners were determined by the Commission set up under the Chamber, in accordance with the indicators of 2008. Members of the Commission were famous businessmen, economic experts and media representatives. On March 10, 2009 the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Competition winners awarding ceremony was held in Metekhi Sheraton Palace Hotel. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the government, business circles, diplomatic corps and media.

The winner in the "Best Small Enterprise or Individual Entrepreneur" was a company:
"Georgian Cartel of Wine and Vineyards - VINOTERRA" LTD which was established in 2002 in Telavi Region's village of Kisiskhevi. Its head are Mr. Giorgi Dakishvili and Angeles Tegrtmeyer. The main profile of the enterprise's activity is production of top quality wine with application of ancient Georgian and modern European technologies. The award and diploma was handed over to the winner by the Minister of Economic Development of Georgia Lasha Zhvania.

The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili awarded the best enterprises and congratulated them on the victory.
