Georgias unique

wine proposition

Georgiais the “the cradle of wine” and where our ancestors domesticated the vine over 8000 years ago and have made wine in quantity ever since.

Georgia is also the “New Old World”. It’s the new country that’s exciting Wine Makers and opinion formers all around the world. They are coming to Georgia to see how high quality wines are produced here in a more natural way, buried in the earth in huge clay vessels called Kvevri (or Qvevri).

They are intrigued by the hundreds of Georgian grape varieties, (many of which are closely related to local wild “Vitis Silvestris” grapes, a situation that is unique in the world), and by the fact that in our climate, the main varieties used produce fine, balanced wine without the need for chaptalisation or acid adjustment.
