Saperavi
Vinoterra/ Fermented in Qvevri
Kakhetian Dry Red Wine
Alc. 13% | e. 0.75 L
100% Saperavi (pronounced saw-pear-ah-vee) grapes. This wine is made in the 8000-year-old style in large clay jars called qvevri. Following open-air fermentation and maceration the wine is racked into a new qvevri, sealed air-tight and aged for six months and then bottled. Some previous vintages saw some oak barrell aging but this vintage sees no oak.
This wine has won many prizes: the 2005 vintage was awarded Gold from the Mundus Vini, and the 2009 vintage was awarded Silver from the International Wine & Spirit Competition.
Priced in the top 20% for red wines from Kakheti. The price has been stable over the past year.

Made with extended skin contact for both red and white. They are profound and serious, yet are fine and bright too and will be appreciated by all connoisseurs as well as those seeking the authentic Georgian style.
