About This Project

The architecture of Tbilisi at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century can be characterized in one word – Eclecticism. The inhabitants of Tbilisi have always been individualists and high-handed people (both then and now, and this is most expressed in architecture);  All the rich houses in the city reflect their views and life stories. Tbilisi architects also did not limit themselves to general rules, as they were residents of the city or naturalized foreigners who were in love with Tbilisi. All this contributed to the creation of that conglomerate, which is known as Tbilisi Art Nouveau, pseudo Barroco and Gothic, Moorish or simply “Urban” style – that creates a unique Tbilisi charm.

We will tell you about the legendary townspeople, their love stories, quirks and entertainment – about what we call the city aura.
